Election Commission: BJP spent Rs 344 crore on 5 state polls Sangbad Pratidin

News Daily Digital Desk: BJP has spent a lot of money in the recently concluded assembly elections in five states. With that, Trinamool MP Mahua Maitra poked the ocher camp. His sarcasm, “If you want to get Ramrajya, you will have to spend.”

According to statistics provided by the Election Commission, the BJP has spent around Rs 345 crore in the recent elections in Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Manipur. Which is 58 percent more than 2017. In 2017, the BJP spent Tk 218 crore in these assembly elections. Which has increased by leaps and bounds this time. Out of this 345 crore rupees, BJP has spent 221 crore rupees in Uttar Pradesh alone. Gerua Shibir has spent 26 percent more than the previous time to capture Yogi Rajya for the second time.

Congress is not close to BJP in terms of expenditure. Congress has spent around 194 crore rupees in these five state assembly elections recently. Hat Shibir, however, has spent 80 percent more than the previous time in five states. Last time i.e. in 2017, Congress spent Rs 108 crore in these states. Informed circles believe that this huge difference in the financial capacity of Congress and BJP is also the reason for the gap between these two parties.

Trinamool’s Mahua Maitra came to the event with this huge expenditure of BJP. His sarcasm, if you want Ramrajya, you have to spend this much. Mohua (Mohua Moitra) claims that this account is being shown, it is only in the pen in the book. Apart from this, many other expenses have been incurred. Which is not included in the calculation.
