News Daily Digital Desk: Food is being given to Kabaddi players from the containers kept on the toilet floor. After the video of this incident at Saharanpur Bhimrao Stadium in Uttar Pradesh went viral, there was a storm of condemnation across the country.

According to local sources, the incident took place during the Under-17 girls’ state level kabaddi competition in Saharanpur. More than two hundred girls participated in the competition. As seen in the video, rice and other food items are kept in different containers inside the toilet. Some foods are very common on paper.

There are flour sacks, oil pans right next to the designated place for urination inside the toilet. The players are taking food from there. Local district sports officer Animesh Saxena has been blamed for this incident. He claimed that they were forced to put food in a changing room next to the swimming pool of the stadium because of the rain. Animesh Saxena said, “The quality of food provided to the players is quite good. Lacking space, food is cooked near the stadium’s pool. We had food arranged by the swimming pool in case it rained. Next to the swimming pool is the changing room, where the food is kept. There was some work going on to maintain the stadium and there was no place to store food elsewhere in case of rain.”

Although clear from the video, the room in question is no ordinary changing room, but a men’s restroom. The District Magistrate of Saharanpur ordered an investigation by suspending Animesh.
