Gehlot also said that such a decision was taken on the will of MP Rahul Gandhi. He also informed that he will be a candidate for the Congress president election. Gehlot has not yet made a final decision on when to present the nomination. Incidentally, several people have been nominated for the post of Congress president, but no one has said anything publicly yet. Gehlot was the first to announce his candidacy.

President of Congress Two names have emerged as possible candidates for the post – Shashi Tharoor and Ashok Gehlot. However, no announcement has been made on Tharoor’s candidacy so far. After Gehlot’s announcement on Friday, experts believe he will be the next Congress president. In that case, Gehlot will have to step down from the post of Chief Minister of Rajasthan. It is said that the party wants to project Sachin Pilot as the next Chief Minister.

Interim president of Congress Sonia Gandhi said that whoever contests the election, she will play a neutral role. Nominations for the post of Congress president can be submitted from September 24 to 30. Names of leaders like Digvijoy Singh also came up there. But in the end, who will sit on the top post of Congress, will be known on October 19. But even if the president is from outside the Gandhi family, the leadership of the party will be in the hands of Sonia-Rahul, experts say.
