Tata Sons Ratan Tata among newly appointed trustees of PM CARES Fund

News Daily Digital Desk: Ratan Tata, former chairman of Tata Sons, has been appointed as one of the trustees of PM Care Fund. This decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. It is known that Ratan Tata himself was present in that meeting. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has announced the names of the new trustees of the PM Care Fund.

Note that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Home Minister Amit Shah are one of the trustees of PM Care Fund. The names of the new trustees were announced at a meeting of the Board of Trustees chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Former Supreme Court Justice KT Thomas, former Deputy Speaker Karia Munda and Ratan Tata were announced as the new trustees of the PM Care Fund. Various activities of PM Care Fund were discussed in the meeting.

Also, the eminent persons who have been nominated to form the Advisory Board of Trust PM CARES Fund are former CAG of the country Rajeev Mehrishi, former Infosys Chairman Sudhamurthy and co-founder of ‘Teach for India’ Anand Shah.

In today’s meeting, Modi said the participation of new trustees and advisers will broaden the functioning of PM CARE Fund. Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the people of the country for donating to this fund. He also welcomed the new trustees.

This fund was formed in 2020 to help people affected by Covid in various ways in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the President of ‘PM CARES Fund’. The central government has announced that income tax will be exempted if a large amount is donated to the fund. Controversy over PM Care Fund has not subsided. The opponents claim that the fund has been stolen. Although the Prime Minister’s Secretariat claims today, 4345 teenagers are being helped through the fund in critical situations.
